SAMINI SAYS 'BRING SHATTA WALE TO FACE ME...'

At long last, the Samini-Shatta Wale feud. Samini is requesting that Shatta Wale be brought before him for them to settle the feud between them. He says Shatta has to explain some accusations he has made against him because he can't contain such disgrace.

According to News One, plans have been made to bring the two together to settle this issue on Peace FM which will be aired live on UTV.

Award-winning musician, Samini, has called for a debate which would be aired live on both radio and television between him and his rival musician Shatta Wale, for the general public to know the whole truth about the disagreement between them. Speaking for the very first time on the ‘turf-war’ between them, Samini expressed disappointment and a lot of hurt over the attitude of Shatta Wale and his manager Bull Dog.
Samini spoke exclusively to Akwasi Aboaye on Peace FM’s Entertainment Review last Saturday and said though he had never offended Shatta Wale in any way, the latter was bent on attacking his personality, insulting his family and defaming his brand.

“I have not done anything against him (Shatta Wale). Worst case, invite him to Peace FM for us to sit side by side. That would serve as the best forum for him to repeat every single allegation he has against me so I address them constructively for every listener to understand where the truth lies. I am ready to be there but would be there when he is ready to come and put every allegation on board for us to address one after the other,” Samini stated in the studios of Peace FM.

When the producers of the show called Shatta Wale on telephone to inform him about the proposal from Samini, he expressed delight and assured listeners he was ready for the debate because he had been looking forward to it for a long time. 
NEWS-ONE has gathered that arrangements are underway for the debate to be organized in the studios of Peace FM but would be telecast live on UTV.

Samini explained further: “This is not just about we shaking hands and forgetting everything. You have misdirected and misled certain people into thinking I am a certain guy that I am really not. We have to address every topic from the fact that he said I had hired people in the UK to kill him".

“He is also saying I don’t want promoters to put him on their shows. I want one promoter to come out and defend what that guy said. And I would pay that promoter the money he lost from that show".

“A big man like me with four children, you call me other names. He must explain to me his proof. The accusations should be raised by him when we meet so I also explain for the public to know that 100 percent or 99 percent of the things he is saying are fabrications".

“His manager, Bull Dog, years back would meet me backstage and tell me that he wants to beat that guy (Shatta Wale) for me because the guy was fooling and he (Bull Dog) only wants clearance from me to beat him up. Today, Bull Dog is behaving as if he has a fight with me because he manages Shatta. But Bull Dog knows he used to come to my shows, remove his shirt, breathing profusely, jumping up and down and sweating all over. You, Bull Dog, today because you oppose me, you sit on TV to say my brand is not marketable".

“These things are propaganda people are raising to brand me in a way that I am not. But right now that Akwasi Aboagye has opened the lid, I am ready and open to address this issue and put it to rest once and for all. I am ready on condition that he is coming with a list of all his allegations so I also raise my defense".

Merqury Republic, organizers of the annual Ghana DJ Awards have billed Okyeame Kwame, Keche, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Edem, VIP, Mz Vee and other musicians to perform at the second edition of the award ceremony. This year’s edition of the awards will also see top DJs like DJ Mensah, DJ Slim, Dj Bright, DJ Mic Smith, Dj Jimmy Jatt from Nigeria, Dj Divalish from South Africa and other top DJs who show off their skills at the event.

Organizers of the show have promised other surprising packages on the night when DJs, both local and international will  be appreciated for their talents and hardwork. Ghana DJ Awards 2014 comes off on Saturday February 22 at the National Theater. The 2nd edition of the awards will be hosted by Nigerian comedian Klint Da Drunk.

KWAW KESSE SAYS KONTIHENE FAKED HIS MARRIAGE FOR PUBLIC ATTENTION

Kontihene might have bitten more than he can chew. He made disturbing statements about Kwaw Kese but it seems the man can’t let those statements lay to rest without replying. After Kwaw said a man was created to be fearful and that is why he looks as such, he has again disclosed to myjoyonline.com that Kontihene just wants to regain his dead fame, hence hitting hard at Kwaw with such unnecessary comments.

He added that he faked his marriage just to pull publicity stunts to get people’s attention. Rapper Kwaw Kese says recent disparaging comments made against him by fellow musician Kontihene are just a ruse to resuscitate Kontihene’s dead career.
Kontihene is reported to have stated in a recent interview on Okay FM that there is no way he can be compared to Kwaw Kese.

According to him, “I am wiser than him, I am more presentable as well as more educated, our way of dressing is even different and on top of it, I am more handsome then he is.”

Kwaw Kese, also known as ‘Abodam’ speaking in an interview with myjoyonline.com laughed off the comments stating that Kontihene is just being childish.

“I heard Kontihene is trying to use my name to resurrect his dead career. I think that is a mistake and it’s childish. He can’t do that he’s been dead for ten years and you can’t use me as a way to resurrect your career,” he said.

The ‘King of the Street’, said “We all know that he is trying to use me to resurrect his dead career and I won’t help him do that.”

“This is one person who has even faked the marriage to shoot his name back to fame. He is trying whatever possible to come back into the game. The marriage is basically a publicity stunt,” he added that he doubts if Kontihene is truly married.

Reacting to Kontihene’s comments of being more handsome, Kwaw Kese said, “I don’t want to be handsome. I want to be an ugly [fearful] man…”
Kwaw Kese believes a song – ‘Nonsense’ – he released about ten years ago with a slight reference to Kontihene’s song – ‘Megizigi’ – is still eating him up.
He said it does not make sense for Kontihene  to make derogatory comments about him because of song released 10 years ago.

Improving on your self-esteem

Everyone has the ability to improve on his or her self-esteem. First, what is self-esteem? People keep talking about self-esteem without knowing what it means; I will break down the meaning and explain further on how you can improve on your self-esteem. People’s self-esteem differs from the other. Notwithstanding these differences, everyone possesses the ability to improve on their self-esteem. No one can do that for you but you and you alone have the ability to improve on your self-esteem.

My definition of self-esteem is the way you see yourself as well as the way you feel about yourself. It is an overall emotional evaluation of your self- worth. The same way you possess the ability to be happy, is the same way you can discipline yourself into improving on your self-esteem.

Thinking less about yourself makes you have a low self-esteem. To improve on your self-esteem you require enormous self discipline. Come to think of it, if you do not think well of yourself or value yourself , how then do you expect other’s to value you or rather how much value would they place on you.

Some people are so sluggish at everything they do that they give up even before they try; if you are one of these people you are doing yourself no good because you are only reducing your self- worth. When your self- worth has been lowered to a particular point, it will take time to improve on it again. There are negative consequences which could come with it.

NEGATIVE CONSEQUENCES OF LOW SELF-ESTEEM.

1.      When one has a low self-esteem, depression tends to set in. This is because you do not think you have what it takes to do well, you tend to be restless and get fed up of life.

2.      People with low self-esteem can never move forward in life because they tend to look down on themselves 

3.      You can’t make people think well of you when you don’t think well of yourself or see your potential.

4.      The person starts to get angry with everyone even his creator, which can be a sin.

5.      You won’t be able to come out with results (i.e positive ones) after every evaluation or work is done.

6.      Your self-image would be reduced especially from the view point of others.

QUEEN ELIZABETH II OFFERS TO HELP KATE DRESS TO LOOK MORE DAZZLING

Queen Elizabeth II has offered the services of trusted personal dresser Angela Kelly to help Kate Middleton prepare for the trip the to Australia in April.
Ms Kelly who is said to know most pieces of the Queen's private collection will apparently assist the Duchess of Cambridge select "statement jewellery and gemstones from the Queen's personal collection".

Oscar-Winning Actor, Philip Seymour Hoffman Dies at 46

Philip Seymour Hoffman, the Oscar-winning actor who was age 46, was found dead by his friend in the bathroom on the 4th floor of his Manhattan apartment.

Although the cause of death is yet to be known, but a law enforcement official said heroin was found at the scene and a hypodermic needle was sticking out of Hoffman's arm.

Hoffman's family released the following statement on the actor's untimely death on Sunday afternoon:

"We are devastated by the loss of our beloved Phil and appreciate the outpouring of love and support we have received from everyone. This is a tragic and sudden loss and we ask that you respect our privacy during this time of grieving. Please keep Phil in your thoughts and prayers." 

Hoffman has previously been in rehab for drug and alcohol addiction. In his early twenties, Hoffman said he started abusing drugs not long after graduating from his degree at NYU.
Hoffman is survived with his partner of 14years and three children.

THE PERFECT EYEBROW PART 1

Hello ladies,

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Today, we will be learning about 'brows', not how to achieve the picture perfect brow, but how to start.
First of all, you should note that everyone has a certain face structure. Secondly, we have different brow shapes (flat, arched, curvy). Also, know the type of brow shape that works for you, because wearing make-up, or being a make-up artiste is similar to being a painter, only this time, your canvas is the human face. You have to be able to visualize it in your mind and then put it down.

We have realized lately that ladies have this perception about the perfect look, everyone wants to look a certain way, forgetting we all have different faces that make our looks unique. We have people with oval shaped faces, square shaped faces, round faces, all sorts. These are faces all have different brows that work for them, but we all go on ahead and want what we see in the magazines.

The lesson for today is to study your face and visualize in your minds the eye brow that would work best for it. An easier way to do this is to pick up a piece of paper and a pen, look in the mirror, try sketching what you see in reference to your facial structure, then you fit in different brow shapes into it and see which one catches you eye best.

Here are some essential guidelines to achieving this:

1: For shorter faces, a longer brow would suite you better and give your face the illusion of length.

2: For longer faces, it would do you good to make the brows slightly short to avoid your face from looking like its going on forever.

3: For rounder faces, a bit of arch would do you a world of good to make that face appear more oval.














 4: For oval faces, a soft and somewhat flat arch would suite you better.

5: For square faces, avoid the arch because it could give your face the wrong dimensions. A curvy brow would look better on you.

As I said earlier weigh the reason why you are unhappy and the positive effect you will get when you are happy balance the two and say to yourself, no matter what happens to me in life, no matter the situation I go through in life I must always be cheerful, I must always be happy.

NEVER ASSOCIATE HAPPINESS WITH MATERIAL THINGS

Some people have everything they could ever wish for, but they still find themselves unhappy because they feel a little area of their life is lacking whilst some people’s life have been destroyed by several crisis but they still look back and smile and say to themselves I am still alive despite all odds. This is so because the later has been able to discipline himself towards those things that are supposed to be giving him sleepless nights. Happiness comes from the inside regardless of the possessions you have acquired.

WORRYLESS ABOUT THINGS THAT ARE IMPOSSIBLE TO CHANGE

There are situations in your life that are unchanging one which can be about your physical appearance may be you were born that way. Some people complain about almost everything, and even worry about things that shouldn’t be worried about. Example of which could be; oh! It is too sunny, or its been raining all week, wow! This place is too stuffy and you find them talking and talking and talking about these issues that nothing can be done about, issues that are natural therefore, things that are very impossible to change try as much as possible to discipline yourself on how to let go and be happy.

 Some people are in positions where they feel they ought not to be. I will tell you, you must have heard this over and over again, the God that kept you till this day never dozes nor slumber. Always remember people have greater problems than you in this world.

DETACH YOURSELF FROM THINGS THAT KEEPS YOU IN A CONSTANT STATE OF UNHAPPINESS.

85% of our happiness will come from happy relationships with other people. Unfortunately fully 85% of our unhappiness and problems will be associated with other people as well. We let people in and out of our lives but they do not define us.

Zen Buddism teaches that the main causes of human suffering and unhappiness is attachment.  People become attached to ideas, opinions materials things and they are reluctant to let go of them.

 No 1 rule to happiness, learn to detach yourself from things that can steal your happiness

Is it childlessness? You have been to several hospitals and the doctors are saying you are ok; but yet you have been unable to conceive. You don’t have to think about it for long when there is someone that you can always lean on. Are you presently in a financial crisis? God can always change that situation for you. Detach yourself and run to God. Are you physically challenged? He has always been called the mighty healer, now is the time to run to him.

In the nutshell “nothing” at all should steal your happiness, you deserve to be happy, face it, focus on it, and just be happy.

BEAUTY TIPS FOR THE SEXY LADIES - HOW TO BEGIN

Hello ladies,

So, most of you would probably love me to start out the 1st article with what every girl wants to achieve right now, the perfect brows. Or what every woman wants, to look 5 years younger. Well, I would love to cut the chase and head for the kill but no. This right here is going to be a gradual process and we are starting off with baby steps, because the things you deem as unimportant could end up being the factor you've been missing all along.
With that said, lesson 1 is focused on teaching you the techniques of concealer, foundation and powder application. I know what you're thinking, "is this a joke?", well, its not and you will be surprised at how sloppy people could be when it actually comes down to this.

No1: The Concealer  

The purpose of the concealer unlike foundation is not just to give the face a nice finish but to COVER spots, blemishes etcetera, hereby making the face appear smoother and the make-up, flawless. Now, most people tend to apply the concealer like the foundation, by just rubbing it all over, when instead it should be dabbed on not rubbed. It can be applied in as many layers as necessarily required to cover what needs to be covered and only on affected areas.




It should not b applied all over unless you have a serious case of acne, in which case you should be careful of how much you put on, as the concealer tends to be heavy and cakes easily. Also, when using the concealer, it is always advisable to use a shade darker than your actual skin shade, as this covers better and due to its nature to cake, when you use a foundation that is your skin shade, it blends it out better and you do not end up looking like snow white.




No2: The Foundation

The foundation is applied to all parts of the face in a backwards pattern in order to make sure it touches all the required places, like the hairline, the ears, the jaw leading down to the neck, cause believe me, you do not want to walk around looking like you are wearing a mask. The foundation however is meant to give the face a smooth and nice appearance and if concealer was previously applied, to blend it in better and give it a better finish.
The foundation should be applied with a foundation brush or with the use of your hands.
Be careful not 2 press too hard, especially on the areas having concealer, as to not smudge it.


No3: The Powder

For your powder application, you also apply it in the same backwards pattern as the foundation for the same reasons which are to meet all the necessary places. You could apply using your powder brush or a puff, popularly known as "foam". 17 people dead in Nigeria Market Bomb

17 people were killed in a busy market in Maiduguri, which is the capital of the northeren Nigeria state of borno. The police chiesf in the state said this happened on Tuesday.
